Pi Network launches AI builder & mainnet staking tools

With two major releases, Pi Network is marking the celebration of Pi2Day 2025. The AI-assisted Pi App Studio lets users without coding skills create blockchain apps.

An introductory version, it is designed to harness the power of AI and blockchain for practical applications. In parallel, Ecosystem Directory Staking allows Pioneers and companies to use Pi to stake directly on Mainnet to improve their apps’ discoverability.

This engagement-based staking model will encourage participant interaction while rewarding them for ecosystem sponsorship.

Other platform changes incorporate updated Node versions, integration of external fiat onramps, and an extension of .pi Domains Auction. With the mining app, Pioneers can now take part in ecosystem challenges and earn digital prizes.

Since Open Network launched over 100 days ago, Pi has seen strong adoption. Over 13 million users have joined the Mainnet. More than 7.4 billion Pi has migrated, 5.2 billion locked and 2.2 billion unlocked.

Over 400,000 active nodes now support Pi’s Testnets and Mainnet. The Ecosystem Interface has also expanded. Developers can now directly apply through the portal to list apps on Mainnet. Pi App developers can earn via the Pi Ad Network, while new apps continue to enter the ecosystem.

Pi Network ventures fuels startup ecosystem

The Pi Network Ventures funded the launch of new startups focusing on Pi by committing to a sum of $100 million. These funds, stored in both Pi and USD, aim to increase real-time applications, particularly in gaming and social ecosystems.

A new fruit-matching game called FruityPi showed promise for early adoption. It integrates with Pi Wallet. Payments and advertisements show how gaming helps drive not just participation but engagement as well. On the other hand, commerce gained focus during PiFest 2025.

More than 125,000 sellers registered, while over 1.8 million Pioneers utilized the Map of Pi feature. The week long event was a demonstration of the demand for real-world value exchange through pi.  

Other auction events using the domains pi saw significant activity as well, which led users to more than three million staked bids with over 57,000 users participating, causing it to take off faster than expected.

With now more 69,000 active domains created, do Pi domains are further increasing identity and utility into the blockchain space beyond just pieing out core elements needed to interlock bricked chainoid systems
