Circle has just launched a new product called Circle Gateway that is meant to simplify crosschain liquidity for developers and firms. Gateway fixes longstanding issues that are caused by dealing with USDC over multiple blockchain protocols and minimizes inefficiency and user friction significantly.
Today’s blockchain ecosystem remains divided with chains like Solana and Ethereum operating independently of one another. This division necessitates that users and firms use intricate bridging protocols when they are transferring USDC between and amongst different networks, resulting in friction as well as confusion.
To respond to this problem, Circle developed the Gateway to eliminate the need for prefunding or rebalancing across chains. Developers and enterprises no longer need to split USDC into multiple wallets or worry about uneven balances. Instead, they can deposit their USDC into a non-custodial smart contract and use it on any supported chain instantly.
Gateway offers a single USDC balance that powers real-time liquidity across supported blockchain networks like Avalanche, Base, and Ethereum. This allows a single integration to handle demand across all chains and eliminate dependence on manual processes as well as external liquidity solutions.
The new system is entirely non-custodial, ensuring users remain in control of their funds with the freedom to withdraw permissionlessly.

Exchanges and payment processors now can have just-in-time liquidity without pre-committed funds beforehand or balances held on a series of networks. Jeremy Allaire, co-founder and CEO of Circle, explained that Gateway opens up a future of a more seamless and interconnected financial system.
Developers can now offer customers a seamless 1-click crosschain experience. Users no longer need to switch networks or move funds manually.
The Gateway not only improves capital efficiency but also reduces costs of operation and increases the speed of transactions. These functions allow broader adoption by eliminating the complexity that otherwise caps the usability of a multichain amongst regular users.
Circle will launch the service on Avalanche, Base, and Ethereum testnets in July. Developers can build solutions using real-time, chain-agnostic USDC access.
Circle is inviting developers and businesses to apply now for early access to Gateway. Early integration allows participants to build ahead of the platform’s broader release.
Circle Gateway removes the systemic overhead of managing fragmented USDC balances across multiple chains. It provides a streamlined foundation for powering the next generation of crosschain digital finance.
