Bitcoin ETFs Vs Ethereum ETFs: BTC funds dominate with $4B volume as ETH slips

According to a recent SoSoValue update on Bitcoin ETFs as of April 23, the total net inflow across Bitcoin ETFs reached $916.91 million. The cumulative total net inflow stood at $37.61 billion, while total value traded hit $4.09 billion. Total net assets accounted for $106.39 billion, covering 5.72% of Bitcoin’s market cap.

BlackRock’s IBIT continues its dominance in net assets

BlackRock’s IBIT led with a $643.16 million daily net inflow and $54.41 billion in assets. Fidelity’s FBTC followed with a $124.37 million inflow and $18.65 billion in net assets. Grayscale’s GBTC recorded no inflows, holding $17.89 billion in net assets but showed a negative cumulative net inflow of $22.68 billion.

Ark Invest’s ARKB reported a $129.50 million daily inflow, pushing cumulative inflow to $3.00 billion and assets to $4.82 billion. Grayscale’s BTC and Bitwise’s BITB posted $29.84 million and -$15.25 million respectively, in daily flow. ARKB, IBIT, and FBTC traded at slight premiums, while others like EZBC and BTCW also posted positive cumulative net inflows. 

Market prices for ETF shares ranged from $26.32 to $98.75 with minor daily price changes. IBIT traded $579.64 million in value, topping all others. BTCW saw the steepest price change at -0.44%. VanEck’s HODL and Valkyrie’s BRRR showed no daily inflows but maintained positive cumulative totals.

What about Ethereum ETFs?

On the other hand, ETH ETFs recorded a total net outflow of $23.88 million. as the cumulative total net inflow reached $2.23 billion, while total value traded stood at $432.87 million. Total net assets across these funds amounted to $5.93 billion, covering 2.74% of Ethereum’s market cap.

BlackRock’s ETHA posted the highest daily outflow at $30.28 million with $2.08 billion in total net assets. Grayscale’s ETHE recorded no daily inflow, but cumulative net outflow stood at $4.27 billion, with assets at $2.06 billion. ETH by Grayscale registered $6.40 million daily inflow and maintained $822.02 million in assets.

Fidelity’s FETH reported no inflow with $683.49 million in assets, while ETHW and ETHV also showed no inflows. Franklin’s EZET, Invesco’s QETH, and 21Shares’ CETH each posted inflows below $1 million with net assets under $22 million. ETHV held $77.16 million, while ETHW remained at $163.68 million in assets.
