Solana (SOL) is making headlines again. At $177.96, it’s gained 2.1% in the last 24 hours, and it’s up 6.42% over the week. The token broke clean through key resistance levels, $165 and $180 — a technical move that traders take seriously.

That breakout caught the eye of CoinCodeCap Trading, which hinted at a push toward the $200 mark. This isn’t blind hype. SOL’s RSI sits above 70, signaling overbought territory. Yet momentum stays intact. Volume tells another story, down by 8.23%, to $8.77B, raising concerns of waning buyer strength. Traders are now split: some ride the wave, others look for safer reentry near $165 or even $140.

Crypto Forecasting Firms Split on SOL’s Future

Crypto forecasting firms are buzzing. DigitalCoinPrice offers a bullish path: they see SOL reclaiming old highs and breaking into the $390s before year-end. They noted a January swing between $289 and $175,  a tightrope between surges and slips. Long-term, they eye $353.61 to $391.97 as the realistic 2025 zone.

Changelly, though, steps on the brakes. Their model predicts a softer year. By 2025, SOL might hover around $186.85. July’s projection? A modest $179.94 average. That’s just a whisper above today’s price, hardly fireworks. With a potential -0.2% return, the warning is loud: tread carefully.

Solana Signals Possible Trend Reversal

Technical analysts point to a possible trend reversal, one that’s already begun. Breakout traders may be celebrating, but a stalling near $200 could spark a pullback. History shows that SOL doesn’t stay overheated for long without cooling off. Profit-taking could kick in hard.

Meanwhile, real-world asset (RWA) narratives gain traction. Analysts think Solana could lead that sector in 2025. That potential may power a second wave if early investors stay put. But momentum traders must respect the signals. If volume keeps dropping, the climb could freeze mid-air, and fall fast.
