Solana (SOL) keeps gaining steam. For the time being, it’s trading at $164.35, up 2.96% in the last 24 hours. The token probes significant resistance near $165, a point watched closely by technical analysts. The week’s gain of 7.45% reinforces bulls, even as the volume of trades falls to $6.08 billion, a decline of 3.47%.

Analysts at CoinCodeCap believe this move is not random. SOL has hit their first price target between $160 and $165. Now it hovers near a major barrier, including the 200-day Simple Moving Average. A breakout here could push prices toward $180. But a pullback to $140 is also on the table, offering traders a potential re-entry opportunity.

Short-Term Trend Remains Bullish

Momentum indicators flash mixed signals. The MACD shows signs of weakening, suggesting that the rally might lose steam. But the RSI remains healthy, avoiding overbought territory, a sign that there’s still room for growth. The short-term trend stays strong, with the medium-term also leaning bullish. However, the long-term view is still negative.

Supports are strong at $140 and steeper at $125, creating a safety cushion if the rally loses steam. Resistance is evident between $165 and $180. This tight band will determine if SOL can penetrate new highs or slump back down to lower lows. Bulls are ahead, at the moment, but with caution.

Solana Price Outlook for 2025

In the years ahead, the price prediction varies widely. DigitalCoinPrice envisage a high rally in the year 2025. According to predictions, the price of SOL would attain a maximum of $361.66 at the year-end, surpassing the previous all-time high of $294.33. The forecast sets the price at $326-$361, supported by optimistic investor sentiment and rising uses.

The outlook of Changelly is more subdued. They estimate the average price in 2025 at around $168.17, and the tight range of their forecast lies between $150.18 and $159.18. July 2025 estimates remain at around $161.68, reminiscent of prices today, implying minimal gains. Their return on investment stands at a meager 2.1%, a long way from DigitalCoin’s lofty expectations.
