The efficiency department of the U.S. government, known as DOGE and headed by Elon Musk, has officially unveiled its website, prominently displaying Dogecoin as its emblem.
This initiative has generated considerable enthusiasm among retail investors, with many perceiving DOGE as a possible catalyst for an increase in Dogecoin’s value.

However, DOGE is facing a looming lawsuit from the National Security Counselors. The lawsuit indicates that DOGE violated federal transparency laws, including the Federal Advising Committee Act, which requires advisory committees to adhere to strict disclosure and hiring laws.
In a detailed 30-page complaint, executive director Kel McClanahan contended that DOGE meetings should be open to the public. Also, those conducted online. He pointed out that similar agencies maintain transparency by keeping meeting minutes and allowing public involvement.
The legal conflict contends that the agency is subject to FACA’s requirements. It highlights the need for the agency’s attempts to reduce government bureaucracy to be transparent and open to public examination.
DOGE aims to achieve its goals by July 4, 2026, to create “a more efficient government that functions with less bureaucracy.” On this date, the agency plans to introduce a new strategy in celebration of the 250th anniversary of the Declaration of Independence.
Vivek Ramaswamy steps down from DOGE
Vivek Ramaswamy, an entrepreneur and former presidential candidate, has decided to step down from his role as co-leader of DOGE alongside Musk. He made this announcement to prioritize his campaign for the governorship of Ohio.
In a post on X dated Jan. 20, Ramaswamy conveyed his endorsement of the agency’s objectives. Although he did not elaborate on his political aspirations. Sources suggest that he intends to formally declare his candidacy in the near future.
DOGE representative Anna Kelly has said that Ramaswamy’s exit was motivated by his ambition to pursue a political position. The term of Ohio Governor Mike DeWine is set to conclude in Jan. 2027, paving the way for the upcoming state election
