This move wants to end the stranglehold exercised by America’s current-day Republican and Democratic systems. It was through tweets on the social site X that Musk introduced the new political party and advocated for restoring public freedom.
He continued and said that both major parties are equally responsible for the country’s economic deterioration due to reckless expenditure. He was more outspoken after the recent passage of a $3.4 trillion spending bill. Musk has referred to the bill as wasteful and destructive of the nation’s fiscal integrity.
The America Party would thus appear as Musk’s answer to a process that he believes is broken and controlled by inefficiency. He once chaired the Department of Government Efficiency and was opposed to wasteful federal spending.
Today, the Tesla CEO asserts that as few as a group of Senate and House races can give the America Party real power in Congress. By Musk’s calculation, selecting as few as two or three Senate and eight or ten House districts will significantly affect power.

One of the America Party’s cornerstones is promoting Bitcoin as a credible alternative to fiat currency. Musk’s positive disposition towards Bitcoin can make digital assets mainstream in political debates and compel lawmakers to confront crypto policy directly.
