Semler Scientific from Campbell, California, issued significant announcements related to its Bitcoin holding and share issue on May 23, 2025.

The company maintains a standalone Bitcoin dashboard on its homepage to encourage open and far-reaching public access to all the facts related to its portfolio of BTC holdings.

This dashboard includes current market prices, BTC holdings, purchases, and key performance indicators related to BTC returns.

The company aims to comply fully with federal disclosure regulations by using this dashboard, allowing investors and the public to monitor its cryptocurrency investments and stock market data easily.

However, this move follows through on Semler Scientific’s pledge to transparency in its increasingly Bitcoin-focused business strategy.

Semler Scientific partnered with a number of financial institutions in mid-April 2025 to sell up to $500 million worth of common stock through its at-the-market (ATM) offering program.

By May 22, 2025, the firm sold more than 3 million shares under the program and gathered about $114.8 million in net proceeds.

Semler Scientific utilized funds raised from this stock offering to acquire additional BTC. Between May 13 and May 22, 2025, the company purchased 455 Bitcoin for a total of $50 million.

Bitcoin yield reaches 25.8% year-to-date

However, these buys averaged at a cost of approximately $109,800 per BTC, including commissions. This puts Semler Scientific’s total Bitcoin holdings at 4,264 coins, bought at an average cost of close to $91,470 apiece, worth a total investment of $390 million.

On the basis of Bitcoin’s market value as of May 22nd, 2025, the company’s portfolio in Bitcoin had a value of about $474.4 million. This is considerably higher than the cost basis of its Bitcoin holdings.

Semler Scientific also tracks BTC Yield as a key performance indicator. Year-to-date through May 22, 2025, the BTC Yield was 25.8 percent, reflecting the company’s strategy to increase shareholder value through cryptocurrency investments.

Nonetheless, this strategy entails the use of equity offerings to pay for Bitcoin buys in order to profit shareholders through its shares and crypto holdings. Investors are urged to watch the company website dashboard for ongoing updates.
