The Aptos Foundation, committed to advancing the Aptos blockchain, has joined forces with a Web3 streaming platform, Myco.
According to a press release, the partnership will focus on technical integration, creating builder resources, and, furthermore, a shared dedication to advancing Web3 technologies and providing next-generation, decentralized digital streaming experiences.
Partnership details and token launch
The partnership is a key element of Myco’s broader strategy to transition its infrastructure to the Aptos blockchain and support the Web3 streaming service provider’s long-term goal of achieving full decentralization.
Moreover, the announcement coincides with the upcoming launch of Myco’s “native utility token” on the Aptos foundation, scheduled for early Q4 this year. Co-founder and Chief of Web3 at Myco, Hani El Khatib, stated that launching on Aptos represents a “significant milestone” for the streaming platform.
Aptos receives USDT capabilities
On Aug. 19, Tether introduced its US dollar-pegged token on the Aptos blockchain to provide users with lower transaction costs. The integration of USDT onto the layer-1 blockchain aims to leverage Aptos’ scalability and speed while advancing Tether’s efforts to enhance global digital currency use and accessibility. In addition, the launch of USDT on Aptos will offer users an “economically viable” option, with transaction costs amounting to just “a fraction of a penny.”
Aptos ZK keyless wallets
On July. 3, Aptos introduced a web-based keyless wallet app that leverages zero-knowledge (ZK) proofs for user authentication. Specifically, Aptos Connect, the new keyless wallet, allows users to access decentralized applications (DApps) with a Google login.
Furthermore, the announcement stated that Aptos Connect would simplify Web3 onboarding by enabling users to create and manage Aptos blockchain accounts with a single click.
