The government’s National Investment Agency of Kyrgyzstan signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Binance’s founder, Changpeng Zhao (CZ). The MoU is designed to build the blockchain and cryptocurrency environment in Kyrgyzstan. It will introduce infrastructure, expertise, and consulting services into the nation.
With this MoU, Kyrgyzstan intends to establish educational programs, facilitate blockchain projects, and establish a robust digital infrastructure. The MoU also focuses on virtual asset management and cybersecurity. The partnership will aim to transform the financial and technological industry of the nation.
This partnership extends Binance’s earlier initiatives in blockchain education. Binance Academy and Binance Charity will assist with educational programs in Kyrgyzstan. They will host events, hackathons, and training sessions for professional and entrepreneurial youths.
The move comes after CZ met with Georgia Prime Minister Irakli Garibashvili last year. They discussed blockchain education, investments, and innovation in their meeting. The partnership resonates with Georgia’s innovation agenda and aims to improve the regional tech economy.
Binance’s commitment to education and startups
Binance Regional Director Vladimir Smerkis pointed out the increasing demand for crypto education in Georgia. According to him, Georgia is one of the region’s most innovative nations. The cooperation will form an efficient system of innovation and technology development
Avtandil Kasradze, GITA Chairman, underscored Binance’s commitment. He highlighted that charity and educational programs will be implemented by Binance in Georgia. The company will also organize workshops and hackathons in TechParks in order to spur development in startups.
This isn’t the first educational initiative of Binance in the region. The company recently signed an MoC with Georgia’s Business and Technology University (BTU) last month. The intention was to deliver blockchain education, with Web3, NFTs, and cryptocurrencies taking center stage.
Binance Academy will provide students with study materials and training to enable them to gain industry-specific knowledge.
With this alliance, Kyrgyzstan will become a prominent force in the blockchain space. However, the collaboration also holds new possibilities for students, businesses, and technologists. With investments in digital transformation, Kyrgyzstan becomes a leading adopter of blockchain globally.
