Bitget Wallet announced OmniConnect, a new SDK that connects Telegram Mini-Apps with over 500 blockchain networks. This revolutionary solution can enable users to directly sign and execute multi-chain transactions through Bitget Wallet.

The Web3 wallet provider announced this on Sept. 27 in a blog post. OmniConnect supports all EVM chains, TON and Solana, plus hundreds of other blockchains, greatly extending Telegram’s Web3 capabilities.

Alvin Kan, COO of Bitget Wallet, emphasized the impact of this development:

Previously, Telegram Mini-Apps could only interact with the TON network, making it difficult to engage with other public chains. Bitget Wallet’s OmniConnect aims to bridge this gap, enabling seamless multi-chain interaction via Bitget Wallet.

The merge will change Telegram from a mere messenger into an entry point to the Web3 ecosystem for more than a billion users. This is in line with Bitget Wallet’s mission of onboarding a billion social platform users into Web3. This also forms part of their greater strategy surrounding the Bitget Onchain Layer.

Bitget Wallet’s broader strategy: onboarding a billion users

Bitget Wallet intends to extend OmniConnect further over Telegram Mini-Apps, browser plugins, and mobile apps using Web/H5 interfaces to reach any public blockchain on these platforms.

The company boasts a proven track record in the Telegram and TON ecosystems and has partnered with projects such as Tomarket, Catizen, and Yescoin, among the very first to bring MPC keyless wallet technology to the TON mainnet. In August 2024, Bitget Wallet reaped about 2 million downloads to maintain its position as the most downloaded wallet in the world across major app stores.

With over 40 million users worldwide, the platform is dedicated to making Web3 more accessible with features like MPC keyless wallets, email login, Apple ID, Google accounts, and Telegram. It is also turning itself into a “Wallet+Trading” for on-wallet trading and a “Wallet+Social” that embeds a social system.
