(Crypto Ticker)

Kabosu, the Shiba Inu pet whose photograph became the mascot of the Dogecoin (DOGE) digital currency, has just died, as the owner stated in a blog that the pet was at least 18 years old.

The Shiba Inu had featured on the internet as an identifiable and lovable meme before the start of the2010s. And it was, three years later that Dogecoin appeared as a more light-hearted inside joke aimed at the crypto world. This canine-related income was created but has become the largest memecoin in market capitalization, with current value reaching $23 billion. This has also hoisted the internet-related cryptocurrencies which have elements of dogs such as dogfight (WIF).

Kabosu’s cheerful physical design and ability to make human-like facial expressions quickly spread in mainstream media and impressed people worldwide.

Kabosu’s owner, Atsuko Sato, was overwhelmed by fans sending messages and appreciated their support, saying she passed away calmly. Crypto enthusiasts, social media users worldwide, Dogecoins fans, and loyal animal lovers are sad to hear this heartbreaking news. Still, they more likely will continue cherishing the memory of this dog, whose presence online and in the world of digital currencies will be felt and commemorated for many years to come.
