Avalanche (AVAX) is gaining bullish momentum after breaking above key triangle resistance, suggesting that buyers are starting to take control and could push the price higher. At the same time, AVAX is expanding its real-world use through a new university rewards program, highlighting the blockchain’s growing role in fan engagement and loyalty experiences.
As of now, according to CoinMarketCap data, AVAX is trading at the price of $7.47, with an increase of 1.38% in the past 24 hours and a decline of 6.88% over the past week.
Avalanche Price Eyes $8 as AVAX Breaks Bullish Triangle Pattern
According to a prominent crypto analyst, Crypto With Gopal, Avalanche is showing renewed bullish momentum after breaking above the triangle resistance near $7.20. The breakout suggests buyers are gaining control, potentially signaling a shift in AVAX’s short-term price trend and creating room for further upside.

The move above the triangle’s upper boundary has strengthened the current technical setup. AVAX had been consolidating within the pattern, but the latest breakout indicates that buying pressure is increasing as traders look for further upside.
If AVAX manages to hold above the $7.20 resistance, the bullish structure could remain intact. A sustained move higher may open the door for the token to test the $8.00 target highlighted by the analyst.
However, AVAX still needs to maintain its breakout for the bullish outlook to remain valid. A move back below the former resistance could weaken the setup, while continued buying pressure would support the possibility of another move toward higher levels.
University of Nevada Launches Rewards Program on Avalanche
The data from Avalanche further highlighted that the University of Nevada, Reno is launching Wolf Pack Rewards with Uptop. Built on Avalanche, the program will give Nevada Athletics fans more ways to stay connected and earn rewards beyond traditional game-day activities.
Wolf Pack Rewards is designed to extend fan engagement throughout the year. Supporters can interact with Nevada Athletics beyond sporting events, creating more opportunities around tickets, merchandise, experiences, and other activities linked to the Wolf Pack community.
The program could also help Nevada Athletics build stronger and longer-lasting relationships with its supporters. By creating regular engagement opportunities, the initiative provides additional touchpoints for fans while giving sponsors more ways to connect with the university’s audience.
Uptop, a Rain company, is building Wolf Pack Rewards on Avalanche. The launch adds another sports-focused use case for blockchain technology, showing how digital infrastructure can support loyalty programs and help athletic organizations develop deeper connections with their fan communities.
