Indonesian fintech firm DigiAsia Corp has officially revealed that it intends to raise $100 million. The funds are to be used to build up a considerable reserve of Bitcoin as part of the firm’s new treasury plan.

DigiAsia’s management confirmed that it intends to invest as much as 50 percent of any future net earnings to acquire more Bitcoin. DigiAsia, a financial technology firm focused on Asia and surrounding regions, made this decision after careful review by its Board of Directors.

The initiative is part of a wider corporate move among listed companies to adopt digital assets into financial planning. DigiAsia believes this approach supports growth and modernizes how treasury assets are managed.

The company’s management team, including Co-CEO Prashant Gokarn, sees Bitcoin as a long-term digital asset. DigiAsia will work with regulated financial partners to use BTC-based strategies such as lending and staking. These methods will help the company generate returns while holding Bitcoin in reserve for future use.

DigiAsia plans Bitcoin-backed financial instruments

The company is currently looking to issue financial instruments comprising convertible notes and structured crypto offerings that Bitcoin backs. The capital market instruments will assist the company in establishing and sustaining an optimal BTC position.

Negotiations with regulated partners for the secure execution of the strategy have already started. The move places DigiAsia among the growing list of Nasdaq-listed firms turning to Bitcoin as a primary treasury asset.

The treasury strategy of the company is also part of a wider movement of digital asset adoption among publicly traded companies. The management of DigiAsia perceives that Bitcoin is not merely an investment, but an underlying source of financial innovation.

Nonetheless, DigiAsia works in emerging markets based on a fintech model that is versatile in terms of business-to-business solutions. DigiAsia offers solutions like digital wallets, cashless transactions, and bank integrations. DigiAsia is also expanding by investing in AI-powered fintech solutions in Southeast Asia, India, and the Middle East.
