Chainlink CCIP is now live on Sonic’s mainnet, formerly known as Fantom. The development represents a massive breakthrough for Sonic Labs, which reportedly joins the Chainlink Scale program. The integration exposes developers to secure cross-chain token transfers, data messaging, and high-frequency market data.
CCIP will grant developers rich functionality for seamless interactions between Sonic and other blockchains. The CCIP standard of the cross-chain token, CCT, makes integrating tokens much easier with improved security and zero slippage. CCIP supports arbitrary messaging, enabling developers to build cross-chain smart contracts and innovative decentralized applications.
Sonic Labs implemented Chainlink Data Feeds to deliver high-performance, low-latency market data. This would also empower the performance of top-tier DeFi applications on-chain. Consequently, this will offer premium and verifiable data to developers on the Sonic platform, ensuring frictionless experiences for end-users and thus precipitating better ecosystem growth.
Programmable transfers enabled by Chainlink infrastructure
Underpinning this is Chainlink’s approach to defense-in-depth security with DONs that have secured billions in DeFi and trillions of dollars of on-chain transactions. The network of CCIP continuously confirms all operations for them to be validated, thus setting a new global standard for cross-chain security.
Sonic empowers developers with programmable token transfers, reducing even the most complex multi-chain operations to one atomic instruction. It unlocks complete cross-chain lending, NFT transfers, and DeFi innovation.
By adding more Chainlink infrastructure, the adoption of Sonic gets a boost to join a multi-chain ecosystem. One on which developers can further develop, ensuring secure, scalable, and future-proof applications. This new integration demonstrates Sonic Labs’ commitment to blockchain interoperability and to building out the Web3 landscape.
