The Polkadot (DOT) price is experiencing further selling pressure as investors look for a possible bounce from an important support level. Meanwhile, Polkadot has launched dotUSD, a new stablecoin that lets the community take part in its governance.
As of now, according to CoinMarketCap data, DOT is trading at $1.20, up 15.22% over the past 24 hours and 4.88% over the past week.

DOT Price Risks Further Decline as DOT Tests $1.05–$1.07 Support Zone
According to crypto analyst Abdul-Hadee Isah Ibraheem, Polkadot faces renewed selling pressure as its price declines, with the $1.0540–$1.0765 range emerging as a potential support zone. Buyers could step in if the price falls further and reaches this area.
If DOT holds the range, buyers may attempt to regain control and trigger a recovery. A rebound could push the price toward the two-hour order block near $1.2100, which marks the next potential upside target.

The bullish outlook depends on DOT holding the identified support zone. If the price breaks below this area, further losses could follow before a recovery takes shape. Traders are watching for signs of buying pressure near the support zone and whether buyers can drive a move toward $1.2100.
Polkadot Launches dotUSD Stablecoin With Community Governance
The data from Polkadot further shows that dotUSD has launched as a stablecoin for its ecosystem, with a governance model that differs from traditional stablecoin issuers. The DOT decentralized autonomous organization (DAO) oversees its governance through Polkadot OpenGov.
However, the market capitalization of stablecoins has already surpassed $250 billion, but a considerable portion of their supply is still concentrated among relatively few companies, which are free to determine their own rules for use and distribution. dotUSD represents an innovative concept that allows the Polkadot community to participate in token governance instead of assigning it to a particular firm.
Through Polkadot OpenGov, DOT holders can participate in decisions affecting the network’s development and governance. This approach allows the community to influence dotUSD-related decisions within Polkadot’s decentralized governance framework rather than relying solely on a corporate issuer.
The launch gives users another stablecoin option within the Polkadot ecosystem for on-chain transactions. Its adoption will depend on user demand, the liquidity it attracts, and how well it serves the needs of users and developers across the network.
