Ripple and SettleMint announced a partnership on September 1, 2026, aimed at helping regulated financial institutions across the Asia-Pacific region manage tokenized assets through a single, connected system. The partnership combines Ripple Custody with SettleMint’s Digital Asset Lifecycle Platform (DALP), bringing custody, issuance, and asset management together under one integrated solution.
The partnership is already available across Asia, with plans to expand into more markets as institutional demand grows. Institutions can use the combined system for asset issuance, compliance, custody, settlement, and servicing. The setup is designed for financial institutions seeking a single solution to manage tokenized assets throughout their lifecycle.
Ripple Custody will securely store digital assets, stablecoins, and real-world assets, while DALP will handle their design, issuance, and ongoing administration. Together, the platforms give regulated institutions connected tools to create, manage, and oversee tokenized assets while maintaining the necessary compliance controls.
SettleMint Expands Institutional Digital Asset Infrastructure With DALP Platform
SettleMint’s DALP is built for regulated financial institutions, market infrastructure operators, and sovereign entities. The platform supports tokenized real-world assets from creation through post-launch management. Its controls include compliance and permissioning features required by regulated institutions working with digital assets and tokenized financial products.
DALP is currently used in production and pre-production programs across North America, Europe, the Middle East, and Asia Pacific. SettleMint also recently completed a SOC 2 Type II audit. Its memorandum of understanding with SBI Digital Markets further strengthens its connection to the Asian institutional finance ecosystem.
Ripple Custody has expanded its platform through collaborations with Securosys for key management, Figment for staking services, and Chainalysis for compliance monitoring. Ripple also acquired Palisade, further strengthening its custody offering. The expansion provides infrastructure for banks, fintech companies, and corporations seeking custody solutions for digital assets, stablecoins, and real-world assets.
Tokenized Assets Gain Wider Adoption Across Institutional Finance
Boston Consulting Group (BCG) estimates that the tokenized real-world asset market could reach $88 trillion by 2035. The figure reflects the scale expected for assets represented through digital systems. Ripple and SettleMint are targeting part of this institutional market by connecting custody with issuance and lifecycle management.
The broader financial sector is also paying closer attention to tokenization. In the United States, financial institutions are moving assets on-chain amid regulatory changes under the Trump administration, including the SEC’s tokenization innovation exemptions. DTCC is also scheduled to launch a tokenization service in October.
“Global capital markets are moving fully on-chain, and that shift only works when digital asset custody and lifecycle management operate as one system rather than two,” said Adam Popat, CEO of SettleMint.
Ripple Advances XRP Ledger and Tokenized Asset Strategy
Ripple is also advancing the XRP Ledger v3.3.0 upgrade as part of its broader roadmap, with tokenized real-world assets at the center of its institutional strategy. The collaboration with SettleMint further connects asset issuance and management with secure digital asset custody.
For institutions across Asia Pacific, the collaboration brings custody and asset lifecycle functions into a single connected system. Its availability in Asia marks the first stage, with expansion into additional markets expected to follow as institutional demand grows. The focus remains on regulated financial institutions managing tokenized assets through issuance, custody, and administration.
