Aviva Investors has launched a tokenized share class of its USD Liquidity Fund on the XRP Ledger (XRPL) in partnership with Ripple. The launch follows an agreement signed earlier in 2026 and marks Aviva Investors’ first tokenized fund as well as Ripple’s first partnership with a European investment manager focused on large-scale real-world asset tokenization.
Crypto custodian Komainu and digital platform company Licuido supported the launch of the tokenized fund. Aviva Investors also received approval from the Central Bank of Ireland (CBI), allowing the fund to launch under existing regulatory rules. The launch came as the XRP Ledger rolled out a network update aimed at supporting broader institutional use.
The fund’s introduction adds another regulated financial product to the growing tokenization activity on XRPL. Ripple continues working with financial firms seeking blockchain-based fund distribution while staying within existing legal and regulatory standards.
How Aviva Investors’ Tokenized Fund Operates
Aviva Investors said the USD Liquidity Fund focuses on low-risk returns with daily liquidity. The fund gives eligible investors access to high-grade U.S. dollar-denominated short-term debt instruments through digital wallets. The structure is designed for regulated investment products rather than retail crypto trading.
BNY Mellon will act as custodian and hold underlying assets linked to tokenized shares. Aviva Investors stated,
“The structure has been designed to operate within existing regulatory frameworks, providing a scalable foundation for future innovation in fund distribution and market infrastructure.”
The development also arrived as Ripple-backed improvements became active on XRPL. XRPL developers have continued releasing upgrades intended to support larger institutional participation and regulated financial products across blockchain infrastructure.
XRP Ledger Tokenization Expands With Rising RWA Activity
RWA.xyz data showed that tokenization activity on the XRP Ledger continued to expand on July 30. The network held $313.30 million in distributed real-world assets, while the represented asset value reached $4.06 billion. The dashboard also recorded 182 RWA holders, marking a 17.42% increase over the previous 30 days.
The platform listed 373 tokenized real-world assets across the XRPL ecosystem. Stablecoin activity also remained strong, with a combined market capitalization of $952.25 million and 60,160 holders. These figures pointed to steady participation from users and continued growth in tokenized financial products on the network.
Recent ecosystem developments align with the latest RWA.xyz metrics. Ripple’s collaboration with Aviva brings another regulated liquidity product to XRPL, supporting its broader tokenization plans in Europe. The partnership focuses on short-term U.S. dollar debt products while adding another institutional use case to the network’s expanding real-world asset ecosystem.
