Avalanche (AVAX) is testing a key support level as buyers attempt to limit further losses and establish the conditions for a potential recovery. While defending support could strengthen the bullish outlook, a breakdown may expose the token to further downside. Separately, a new block time record highlights Avalanche’s network performance.
As of now, according to CoinMarketCap data, Avalanche is trading at $8.83, down 1.63% over the past 24 hours and 8.14% over the past week.

Avalanche Price Outlook: AVAX Approaches Critical $8.30 Support
According to crypto analyst Giannis Andreou, Avalanche is approaching a key support zone near $8.295, where the rising trendline on its daily chart could influence the next price move. If buyers defend this area, AVAX could recover toward $10 before encountering stronger resistance at $11.432.
A sustained move above $11.432, followed by a successful retest of this level as support, could strengthen the bullish outlook. If buyers maintain control above the breakout zone, AVAX could advance toward $14.934, making the ability to hold the reclaimed level a key factor in the potential recovery.
However, a break below $8.295 could invalidate the immediate bullish setup and expose AVAX to a decline toward $7. For the recovery scenario to regain strength, the token would need to reclaim $8.295 and establish it as support before attempting another move toward $11.432.
Avalanche Sets New Record With 911-Millisecond Average Block Time
Avalanche recorded an average block time of 911 milliseconds on Friday, October 23, according to blockchain data tracker Chainspect. The figure represents the network’s shortest average block time on record, bringing its average block production time below one second.

Block time measures the average interval required to produce a new block on a blockchain. Avalanche’s latest milestone demonstrates sub-second average block production during the measured period, a performance characteristic that can contribute to a more responsive network experience for users and decentralized applications.
However, average block time alone does not establish overall transaction throughput or finality. The record reported by Chainspect highlights Avalanche’s block production speed, offering a measurable performance milestone without independently confirming improvements across every aspect of network performance.
