Ethereum (ETH) is facing key liquidity levels that could influence its next price move and potential upside. Meanwhile, a major investor is increasing ETH exposure through Aave-backed borrowing and additional purchases. However, the strategy carries liquidation risks if falling prices reduce the value of the investor’s collateral.
At the time of writing, according to CoinMarketCap data, Ethereum is priced at $2,323.73, down 0.56% over the past 24 hours and 3.04% over the past week.
ETH Price Eyes $3,000 as $2,526 Reclaim Signals Bullish Potential
Crypto analyst Crypto Patel identifies key liquidity levels that could influence Ethereum’s next price move following a sweep of nearby liquidity. The $2,356 level has already been swept, while traders are watching the $1,905 level for a potential price reaction.
A move above $2,526 could strengthen the bullish outlook if Ethereum reclaims the level and confirms a shift in market structure. If buyers sustain momentum above this resistance, the analyst identifies $3,000 and $5,000 as potential upside targets.
However, a liquidity sweep alone does not confirm a trend reversal or continuation. Crypto Patel is waiting for a clear reclaim and a structural shift before considering a trade, emphasizing the need for price confirmation rather than reacting to individual candles.
Ethereum Whale Expands ETH Holdings Through Aave Borrowing and Binance Purchases
Lookonchain reports that Ethereum whale 0xdeA6 purchased another 4,000 ETH, worth approximately $9.4 million, and deposited the tokens into Aave. The wallet subsequently borrowed $6 million in USDT against its position and transferred the stablecoins to Binance to purchase additional ETH.
The latest transaction brings the whale’s ETH deposits on Aave to 22,504 ETH, valued at approximately $53.17 million. This activity suggests the investor is using ETH as collateral to access liquidity and increase exposure to the cryptocurrency without immediately selling existing holdings.
The whale has now borrowed a total of $31 million in stablecoins. While this strategy could amplify potential gains if ETH prices rise, it also increases liquidation risk if falling prices reduce the value of the collateral. The investor’s continued accumulation and borrowing activity will remain worth monitoring as Ethereum’s market conditions evolve.
